All of us have to capacity to have an affair.  To be incapable of having an affair is the same as being incapable of feeling temptation. Most of us, however, know that feeling temptation to have an affair is not the same thing as actually having the affair.  We may be attracted to someone of the opposite sex from time to time, but know where to draw the line and repress those feelings.

One of the most common causes for an affair is plain and simply BOREDOM, and when the spouse starts looking around for added excitement, infidelity is the next step.  While we have all become more excepting of premarital sex, we still view extramarital sex as mainly intolerable.

Some of the most obvious signs that your partner is having an affair will include:

1.  Suspicious Cell Phone behavior.  Have you noticed that if a message comes through they lunge for the phone, go outside to take calls, takes the phone into the bathroom, deletes messages as soon as he has read them?

2.  Recently changed working hours.   Have started they started coming home late regularly, for no apparent reason, with the excuse that they had to work late.  What has changed – a promotion, someone on leave?

3.  Are they smelling of perfume and the dead giveaway of makeup on their clothes – maybe they have even taken to washing their own clothes!

4.  Suspicious computer behavior.  No Internet history in their in-boxes on email, who are they chatting to online?

Men focus more on the sexual aspect of the infidelity and women on the emotional side which their partner may have formed with the ‘other’ person.  For this reason, women are more likely to forgive their husbands if the affair ‘meant nothing’ and no emotional intimacy was involved.
