and he cheated all the time and I could never understand why. and every time I caught him he would always make it seem like it was my fault. I guess I was just wondering why some guys do this. And do A lot of guys do this kind of thing to there girl friends..

For the very same reasons that many girlfriends & wives cheat on their partners.
Well, normally I’d say that when cheating occurs, both have some part in it. In your case, he just sounds like an a$$.
It is a fact.. they feel the need to pro-create; spill their seed or something. It is also the oldest trick in the book to make it seem like it was the woman’s(wife- girlfriend etc) fault. And please, yes women do cheat just like they are also capable of murder but its usually a male trait to cheat oh; and kill.
I don’t know why some people are like that. They’re certainly not what I would classify as a “man”.
I know that I am far from perfect, but it is possible to be a man or a woman and be honorable in one’s dealings.

People cheat because they lack integrity. It’s simple, poor character and no self control. You can look at beautiful models and they have been cheated on as well as normal people, so it’s not about looks, it’s about a selfish ego that can never be satisfied. It’s one of the most selfish and destructive behaviors in human nature. There are good honorable people out there too.
i believe men cheat so they can relive a younger time in their life, free from stress, or responsibility, and especially when theres some younger woman who is stroking his ego and making him feel special. often times they are trying to escape something because they don’t have the relationship skills to work out the problem.these men aren’t happy with themselves to begin with, and won’t look within to solve it, instead they justify their bad behaviors by blaming the wife for all his problems. doesn’t help when theres another woman out their pulling on his heartstrings, making all kinds of promises to him.a wife can’t usually win when this happens, as he will see the new woman as the best choice,and he will magnify every thing about his wife, because he thinks changing partners will end all of his problems.he is basically running away and being a coward.
